Now before everyone gets upset for me posting that, I just want to say that I myself, am 50lbs overweight and would be considered "fat" in society. I guess I would just like everyone's opinions on it.
It all started with my friend who became Vegan. We were all against it at first but he stuck with it and overtime started feeling better. I got into a conversation and I asked him if he was going to go back, and he said becoming a vegan brought him closer to God. When I asked why, he stated that he was no longer an insatiable consumer of everything in front of him. He said it has made him less materialistic and concerned with food.
A couple of days later, I heard a startling statistics that 1/6 of the population is considered to be starving. That's more than 1 billion people!
All of this just has me thinking about gluttony and lifestyle and spirituality. If I am really following Christ, then I shouldn't be concerned with food at all. Didn't he tell his disciples to not even take food with them on their journey? I would love to hear everyone's opinions because I am lost myself on this topic. Thanks
